Because they do not realize that a problem exists, millions of Americans, from infants to seniors, have uncorrected vision conditions, whether it is easily corrected near-and far-sightedness, to something more involved such as such as glaucoma. Some vision problems have no warning signs, but if left untreated, can cause permanent vision loss. That is why these warning signs, such as sudden eye pain, changes in vision, or difficulty with night vision, should never be ignored.  Below are some warning signs of potential vision problems in adults and children:

Adult Vision Problems – Warning Signs

  1. Double vision
  2. Difficulty reading and performing up-close work, such as sewing
  3. Changes in the way you see colors
  4. Impaired night vision, especially while driving and encountering oncoming headlights
  5. Frequent eyeglass prescription changes
  6. Experiencing problems with glare from lights or the sun
  7. Halos appearing around lights
  8. A white or cloudy spot in the black pupil – the eye’s lens
  9. Trouble seeing things to your side
