Dr. Philip Goldthwait was born in Hartford, CT.  After graduating high school in CT, he attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME and graduated with a BS in Chemistry in 1982.  He continued his education at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where he graduated with honors in 1988.  After completing his fellowship/residency in 1989, he began practicing optometry in Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. Goldthwait returned to Maine in 1996 and currently practices in Bangor as the owner of Goldthwait Vision Care in the Bangor Mall.  He has been providing exceptional eye care to the people of Maine for the past 19 years.
